Description

“… but what about socialization?” They say!   What does it mean to live out a faith in Christ as a home educated student in today’s world?  How do you deal with peer pressure, parental rules, intense feelings, questions about God?  Students will study various situations and discuss or act out appropriate responses.  They will also play games, read Bible verses, discuss, learn simple etiquette rules, and practice conversing. 

Skills to be practiced:

  • Presenting in front of a group
  • Discussing with peers
  • How to carry on a one-on-one conversation
  • How and when to write a thank you note
  • Gift-giving
  • Table Manners and proper table setting
  • Borrowing etiquette
  • Noticing others needs
  • Speaking the truth in Love
  • A proper handshake or other greeting
  • Introductions and addressing adults
  • How to be a good friend
