Beginning Sewing
10 weeks Students must have their own sewing machine & basic tools. (Scissors, thread, machine needles & machine should be in good working order) Parents are encouraged to attend with your student. I will provide the sample fabrics, iron, pressing mats, fusible for the appliqué, marking pens & starch. We will continue with a few basics and move into more complicated projects such as quilt blocks, scrappy appliqué, discuss color(s) and move into fabric dying and using those fabrics for a project. “Homework” will be students practicing at home (or with extra time in class) and they will need to purchase their own fabrics for these projects.
