Physics Fun!
Can children this age learn about Physics? We can! Through hands on experiments we will learn about the study of matter & energy and how these two interact. We want to think, observe, question and experiment. That is utilizing the Scientific
Method! Some of our topics will include simple machines such as incline planes, levers, wheels, pulleys, screws, wedges & gears. Experimenting with objects floating/sinking, bridge building, flight & rockets, magnets and centripetal force we will have fun and learn so many things about this fascinating subject, including discussing some of Newton’s laws.
I will require at least one parent volunteer in class each week at least once during the semester, depending on the number of registrations. We need at least one adult per every 4-5 students. Students may occasionally be required to bring items from home for experiments. I will have a list prepared before classes begin.
