Did you know that Jesus gave believers a specific purpose in life? Jesus clearly stated it in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. The Personal Disciple Making class will equip you to be a disciple and help make disciples.
The lessons are based on the book Personal Disciple Making by Chris Adsit. Books will be supplied. Students will memorize applicable Bible verses and learn illustrations to share with others. A one-time meeting with both teachers is required for each individual student. Grades based on participation and quizzes will be reported to the parents at the end of the semester.
This Personal Disciple Making class is a non-denominational, Biblically-based instruction in making and strengthening disciples. Topics include assurance of salvation, the Holy Spirit, Bible, prayer, fellowship, witnessing, time management, and Jesus’ great commission. Teaching and discussion will apply to students personally and will help them to lead others in discipleship.
On average approximately 30 minutes per day will be needed for reading and studying. Some Bible verse memorization (2/week) will be required.
The teacher, Jeni Civerolo, has had over 20 years of experience as a high school classroom teacher at Hope Christian School. She also has over 5 years teaching Disciple Making to adults at various churches.
