Semester 2 study of New Mexico, this is a lecture class taught by a native with many years’ experience teaching the subject. This class focuses on geography, geology, civics, current events and modern history of New Mexico. Students will be expected to take notes and discuss, a textbook for weekly reading will be loaned to them, optional supplemental reading list and an optional semester project will be available if the students and parents wish to enhance their learning. The semester 1 class is not a prerequisite, but a knowledge of NM history is helpful.
